For 2020-21 academic sessions, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board will conduct common entrance examination titled JECA-2020 for admission to Master of Computer Application (MCA) course in various institutions in West Bengal.

Eligibility Criteria for JECA Examination

The institutes which offer MCA programme to WB JECA 2020 qualified candidates follow any of the four modules of eligibility mentioned below:

        Module 1
  •        Aspirants must have passed 3 years bachelor’s degree programme from a university recognised by UGC.
  •       They should have secured at least 60% marks in Honors/Aggregate(45% for SC/ST aspirants) OR
  •      Aspirants should have a Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) from institute/colleges recognised by All India Institute of Common Entrance Examination (AICTE) with 60 per cent in mathematics at the bachelor’s level.
      Module 2
  •      They must have a UGC and/or AICTE recognised bachelor’s degree of 3 years except for BBA with mathematics at 10+2 or graduate level.
  •      Obtained 50% marks(45% marks for SC/ST/OBA – A/OBC – B candidates) at graduation level.
     Module 3
  •     Aspirants must have completed graduation or equivalent degree under (10+2+3) pattern in any discipline from a UGC/AICTE recognized University/Institute.
  •      Aspirants must have Mathematics as one of the subjects at each level of education.
  •      Aspirants must have secured 60% marks (45% marks for SC/ST/OBC-A/O>BC-B candidates) at each level of education.
     Module 4
  •      Aspirants must have obtained a BSc Honours degree under (10+2+3) pattern in any discipline from a UGC recognised University/Institute with a minimum of 60% marks in Aggregate (45% marks for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates) along with at least 55% marks in Mathematics.
  •     They must secure at least 60% marks in Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent level from recognized Boards with at least 60% marks in Mathematics at each level.
  •      Aspirants have to secure 60% marks (45% marks for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates) at each level of education.
